Sexy Halloween Costumes
Have you ever noticed how many ads there are for sexy Halloween costumes? First of all costume people: I don't look like the Playboy girl on your advertisement cover and second of all where are the mens' sexy Halloween costumes? Huh? We are getting gypped girls. I want to start seeing advertisements for "Sexy Christian Bale costume in Batman Mask-comes with deep voice simulator", "Fast and Furious garage scene costume with rip away shirt and big pecs," "The Notebook costume complete with shaggy man beard and fixed up old house". Something to chew on. I have decided to start Momcostumes.com D
Don't get me wrong, I think moms can be sexy, but naughty nurse really? Does it come with spanx and a push up bra for breastfeeding boobs? Does naughty kitten come with a girdle and a dietitian?
You moms that really like the sexy costumes its Okay with me really, but please don't show up as a trophy wife to the kids trick or treat event. I know you look great in your sexy Hantzel and Gretel costume, but unless you're offering a milk maid service put them away.

My sister
My sister's eggo is prego with the second kiddo. I am so excited to be an aunt to another Mills kid. I am hoping it is a boy so Andrew will have someone to beat on and not bug his mom as much anymore :-). So to Mariah: congrats and to Kalon: good job! Now we can expect another half Shill wandering around the world on or around May 4, 2009!

Our Own Little Mermaid
Reagan is going to be the Little Mermaid for Halloween. Apparently, she wanted to get into the role early. Last night she randomly decided to use her fork to brush her hair just like the popular Disney red head. Luckily the camera was just on the kitchen counter so I grabbed it and decided to record her. I was sitting across from her and since I knew that if she knew I was recording her she would stop what she was doing and ‘pose’ for the camera, so I just sat it on the table. It is kind of long, but there are parts throughout that are pretty funny.
Madison knew I was recording, but not to say anything. Of course she (about halfway through) also got a fork to brush HER hair. You can tell that when she gets into the shot she totally knows that we are recording her and definitely ‘hams’ it up!
I couldn't get the video to upload onto my blog but here is the link to it on you tube: Reagan's Video

It finally happened
So, it has been a long while since I have lost my voice, but it finally happened! Reagan started losing her voice Thursday and I started it up last night. For those who know me, every few months I get sick, lose my voice and then after awhile of croaks and squeaks, it returns. Of course the sore throat is my least favorite part. I truly feel bad for Reagan because she coughs while she is trying to sleep and having a two year old who doesn't feel good is never fun. I hope Garrett doesn't get it b/c he has two more midterms this weekend. He has one on Friday and one on Saturday. For those of you who are surprised, yes people do have tests on the weekends. I have even heard of schools where there are finals on Sundays, though we haven't experienced that yet.
Speaking of school, Garrett has a library assignment due (for legal writing), I consider it like a mini midterm. When he went to the library, there were a few students (male, which is what I guessed after he told me what happened) "hoarding" books as he called it. Apparently they weren't willing to share them although according to Garrett they weren't using them while he was there. Personally, if I saw that happening I would have gone up and asked if they needed help...it seemed they must be struggling w/ the assignment if after two hours they still hadn't gotten to that other book. Obviously law school is VERY competitive, but at the same time you don't want to burn bridges. I hope karma hits them hard. Actually, I think it was more annoying than anything because Garrett has done enough of these type assignments while taking Paralegal courses, that he knows where to find the stuff elsewhere. I hope they get pneumonia :-)
My brother and his wife are coming down Sunday for a football game. I think it is the Chargers vs the Patriots but I forget. They are staying the night w/ us on Sunday and then heading to the Wild Animal Park on their way home Monday.
I got the girls costumes this weekend. Reagan is going to be Ariel and Madison is going to be Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). They were only 13.99 each which is a lot less than making them and they are actually well made and durable. I bought them at Party City, a discount party store here in town. They have a Cinderella costume my size which I really want (kind of creepy, I know, but I LOVE Cinderella) and I honestly would have gotten it except for one, we are saving for Disneyland Annual Passes and two, it was 39.99 (that is a couple days' of groceries...I calculate how much something is based on how much food I can buy w/ it). On top of that apparently Garrett won't dress up like a Disney Prince for us either. Too bad...it would have been cute.
Oh, can I tell you how nice it is to have flowers blooming in October?! We have these purple flower vine/plant growing in our backyard. They are absolutely gorgeous. At times I forget that I will not have any winters for a long while. In actuality, I don't want to have to endure snow ever again, unless by choice, which basically means on vacation only. At times I think I would need major therapy if we moved backed to Idaho or Utah, more than now anyway :-). Though we love everyone that lives in these states, I don't think I have the mental capacity for anymore dreary winters. I say this now so I get it out of my system before my poor sister has to endure another one...speaking of which ms. mariah: you better save up for that flight in jan/feb, k?
