Little Miss Grammar

Before I forget, I wanted to share w/ you what Maddie just said. To give you some background, my mother-in-law gave me a plate (I think it was from the girls too) that said "love you mom" around the edge and had a picture of a girl in the middle for Mothers Day 08'. Maddie was emptying the dishwasher when she read "love you mom" and she said, "hey that's not a sentence!" And then w/o hesitation she goes, "I love you mom." "Now that is a sentence." HILARIOUS. Pretty smart for a five year old. That is all.

it's been awhile

I always think I have a recent blog up, but once again, just looked and realized that my last blog was May 2nd. Garrett left Thursday for China. It so far hasn't been bad. I mostly just miss him, not the I need someone around to help me w/ the kids miss. Mariah is moving out here sometime this summer. They just put their house on the market this past week.

Garrett arrived in Hangzhou today. He spent a full day in Shangahi w/ his sister, her husband, and their little boy Gregory. I am so excited to go out there in 17 days. He said his room was really small, so I told him to go to the front desk and ask for a bigger one. He is paying the most an individual can pay so he should get a bigger private room. Being Elizabeth, once I saw the room I was assigned, would have gone right to the front desk and asked for a better room. Luckily, he will get a free upgrade on Tuesday so he will only be in the little room for two days. When I go out, we will be in the nicest room they have. It is the 'luxury' double bed room. Oh and apparently there is no such thing as queen size beds. I am not sure how well that will work since it is so humid there (according to G which means it really must be humid) and Garrett is an oven set at 500 degrees.

Madison is still Madison. We had a re-registration/cookie sale income party last night. It was a lot of fun. Luckily, the girls that are staying on w/ the troop get along and all of us moms enjoy each others company. Today, with the help of the Marks (my lifesavers), Maddie had a bday party. Yes it is 13 days early, but next Saturday is during Memorial Day weekend and the following weekend we will be at Disneyland on her bday.

Since G is now away, Reagan has gone to my friend's house twice now. Tuesday will be the longest she will ever be there. I hope she does okay for her sake as well as Tara's. I don't like this whole paying for a sitter business, but oh well. I was thinking, oh I have a great paycheck coming up and then I though, oh wait. I have a sitter to pay. Its never fun to figure out a paycheck after babysitting and taxes. For now I know we won't owe anything next year so I put fed. tax exempt on my W4 or whatever it is. Hopefully I don't regret it later. If I got full-time this next year I will change it.

I am going to miss the Girl Scouts this summer, but it will be nice to have a break. We will do a field trip in August. One of the mom's sister is w/ an all female fire house (or whatever its called). I work three days this week and three days next week. The school does an all-school Sea World trip every year. I was informed all staff has to go which means I will get paid to go to Sea World. I probably won't end up being w/ Maddie, but at least I get paid for the day. Well I told them I had to get paid or I wouldn't go. That babysitting thing again!

Okay. So as you already know, I put the pics in the post above. Its just easier that way.
